Operating Policies

Statement of Purpose
At Wee Ones, it is our desire to bring your child up in an environment conducive to learning to grow physically, intellectually, socially, emotionally and spiritually.  We strive to meet you and your child’s needs and look forward to serving your family.

Admission Procedures and Requirements
Please have all forms completed with medical records submitted prior to the first day of care.

Services
Our daycare offers full and part time care, half days and summer programs. However, a full time spot takes precedence if one is needed, and at that time you may change to full time or find another provider within a week.  We offer daily curriculum, devotions and a biblical lesson each week to ensure your child is ready for school and beyond.  Outdoor and indoor play is also offered to your child for social and physical enrichment.

Fees and Fee payment procedures
A deposit equal to the child’s tuition along with a $50 registration fee will be required.  Each child should have their tuition paid on Monday at the beginning of each week.  Also, a sleeping mat must be purchased in the amount of $35 for any child not sleeping in a crib.  Should you go on vacation, please inform the staff at least one week prior to leaving and only 1/2 of those weeks tuition is due.  Also, if your child is out due to sickness and only attends 1 day or less, only ½ of that week’s tuition is due.  However, please notify center that week of your child’s illness.  The ½ credit for vacation and sickness may only be taken advantage of once a year.  A $10 discount will be given for each additional child.  If a check is returned, there will be a $35 fee incurred.  When withdrawing your child, please notify the director of that date in writing 2 weeks in advance.

6 wks – 18 months - $130 / wk
18 months – 2 ½ yrs - $120 / wk (or until potty trained)
2 ½ yrs – 4 yrs - $100 / wk
4 yrs – school age - $90 / wk
½ days and part time care will be divided by the amount of days they attend and age.

Arrival and Departure Procedures
The daycare will open promptly at 7am and close promptly at 6pm.  If arriving late to pick your child up, there will be a $5 charge for each 15 minutes late.  We ask that you drop off and pick up in your child’s classroom and sign the log each time.  No one will be allowed to pick up your child if not listed on your initial paperwork.  Identification will be required for those picking up a child until the teacher becomes familiar with each one.

Days and Hours Center will be Open
The center will be open from 7am to 6pm, Monday through Friday.  In case of inclement weather, please watch the news.  If the local school is closed, then the center will be closed.  The following holidays are observed, so please find alternate arrangements if need be; New Years Day, King/Lee Birthday, President’s Day, National Memorial Day, Independence Day,  Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving (Thurs&Fri), Christmas Holidays (Eve, day of & day after).  If a holiday lands on the weekend, it will be observed on Friday or Monday, whichever is closer.

Feeding Program
Infants through 12 months will need to have all bottles and food supplied to the center each day with their name on it.  For all others, a morning and afternoon snack will be provided, so please don’t bring outside snacks and sippy cups.  However, those up to 18 months are required to bring a sippy cup.  A hot balanced lunch will be provided at 11:45am.  A daily menu will be posted in the center each week.

Health and Medical Information
A child may not come to daycare if they have a fever, vomiting or diarrhea.  If your child has a known contagious illness, please do not bring them until cleared of the illness or 24 hours after above symptoms have disappeared.  If the child becomes ill during their stay at the center, they will be isolated and cared for until the parent or other authorized adult picks them up.  If your child needs medication, please complete the medication form and leave the medicine in its original container with the child’s name on it and hand to your child’s teacher.  Please do not leave medicine of any type in your child’s bag.

Clothing and Personal Belongings
For infants to 2 ½ yrs, please pack an extra change of clothes and enough diapers to last the week and one pack of wipes each month. For all others, only a change of clothes to leave at the center is necessary.  Please do not bring any personal items unless necessary.

Emergency Procedures
In the event of an emergency, a staff member will be with your child at all times and the parent or other authorized person will be notified immediately.  It is necessary to keep all contact names and numbers up to date.  In the case of inclement weather, and there is a tornado watch, you may pick up your child.  However, if the weather is upgraded to a warning, we will then seek shelter immediately.  If you choose to pick your child up at this time the center will be held harmless.  If the local school is closed due to weather, then the center will be closed as well.
